In the last 17 years Montel Williams has touched over a half a million peoples lives. His show has taken him to every part of the world, and now he is finally hanging up the mircophone.

The show won’t be totally off the air yet, but will go into the “best of the best” syndication. CBS Television Distribution will air “the most exciting episodes” for a full year of programming starting in the fall.

“I can’t say thank you enough to those who’ve welcomed me into their homes for the past seventeen years,” Williams says in a statement. “It has been both an honor and a joy.”
